Discovery of an Ecotourism paradise
12 Days and 11 Nights to the discovery of Libreville, Louango National Park and the Lope National Park
The Loango National Park has more than 100 km of uninhabited coast, there are wide lagoons, marshes, jungle and a mixture of fresh and saltwater, which creates very specific and diversified ecological habitats. The Park offers a huge variety of rich and diversified flora and fauna. Located north of the Chaillu Massif in the heart of Gabon, the National Park of Lope is a natural and cultural site of great interest protected and classified as World Heritage by UNESCO since 2007. It is one of the oldest in Archaeological sites in Africa. It presents varied ecosystems: primary and secondary forest, savannah and stream in a splendid hilly and rocky setting in places. It is an ideal habitat for large populations of gorillas, Mandrills, chimpanzees and the largest elephant population in Africa.
Day 1: Hexagon – Libreville
Day 2 : Libreville – Port Gentil - Loango
Breakfast and flight to Port-Gentil, arrival and about 3 hours boat ride to the Loango Lodge, installation at the Loango Lodge. Lunch and partial visit of the parc, 4×4 drive through the forest and the plain to visit the gorillas.
Day 3-5: Loango – Loango-Lodge
Excursions to discover several Islands of the region. Return in the evening to the camp, dinner and overnight.
Day 6 : Loango Lodge - Libreville
After breakfast, departure to Libreville, Boat ride through the immense Jungle to join Port-Gentil. Once in Port-Gentil, flight to Libreville. Arrival, transfer to the hotel, installation, relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Libreville – Lope
Breakfast and partial visit of Libreville, lunch in a restaurant in town, visit the Art and traditions Museum, the Saint Michel church of Nkembo, the arboretum. Dinner, transfer in the evening to the train station and departure to Lopé, arrival, installation at Lodge and overnight.
Day 8, 9, 10: Lope
Breakfasts and visit of the Park. We will consecrate three-day to the visit of the Lopé Park. It is a unique site where ancient 40,000-year-old savanna juxtaposes with Pleistocene forests of the Chaillu Massif, a mosaic of forest and savanna Landscapes. There is a large Mandrills concentration, carved stones date back 400,000 years representing a migration axis borrowed by the Bantus peoples. The park is also home to a very high density of mammals and 412 species of birds including picatharte, hornbill, etc..It is without a doubt an archaeological treasure and ecotourism paradise. Diners and overnight at the Lodge.
Day 11: Lope - Libreville
After breakfast, walk to the village, lunch, and relaxation in the pool, return to Libreville by train in the evening, arrival, transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 12: Libreville
Breakfast, stroll and relaxation on the beach, shopping at the craft center to buy some souvenirs, lunch in a restaurant in the city, evaluation of the tour, transfer to the Airport and End of the tour.
